BEAR CREEK 10 MILE TRAIL RUN

This trail run is on the Willis River Trail in Cumberland, Virginia (50 miles west of Richmond). It is a 5 mile, out and back trail, passing through the Piedmont Hills of Cumberland State Forest and Bear Creek Lake State Park. The run is 95% trail and about 5% dirt road. There are not any significant elevation changes but the trail crosses five creeks has numerous short hills and includes some challenging sections with roots and mud.
Entries will be limited to 150 Runners because of Park Limitations on Parking

(Entry Deadline - 11/28 (or sooner if 150 limit is reached - No Race Day Entries)
RRRC Members - $18, Non-Members $23. (Fee includes your entrance fee for State Park Facility)

Awards for 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place Male & Female. Probably ribbons for age group awards, and points will be scored for RRRC Grand Prix.
Technical t-shirts for all entries. There will also be random prizes supplied by Runner Bill’s Running Store, Midlothian, VA.

Waiver: I know that running a trail race is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter and run unless I am medically able and properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to my ability to safely complete the run. I assume all risks associated with running this event, including, but not limited to falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather,
and the conditions of the trail all such risks being known and appreciated by me. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of your accepting my entry, I myself, and anyone
entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the Richmond Road Runners Club, the Town of Cumberland, Bear Creek Lake State Park, the State Dept of Forestry, and all other sponsors, their
representatives and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in
this event, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the
persons named in this waiver, I grant permission to all of the foregoing to use any photographs, motion
pictures, recording or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose. This is a road race
conducted under the rules of TAC and RRCA. In consideration of the safety of all participants. NO baby joggers, baby strollers, headphones will be allowed.
